ABSTRACT
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central
Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, has attached great importance to
Anhui development and has visited the six provinces of Shanxi, Henan, Anhui,
Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi in the central region. The central region has accelerated
the rise of the rise. At the two conferences of the country in 2022, General Secretary
Xi Jinping proposed the "five musts," emphasizing the important position of image
construction in urban development. The construction of the urban image is an
important part of developing economic and cultural undertakings and the
prosperity of socialist culture. The image of the city is a portrayal of multiple
appearances and rich connotations in a city. It is the product of subjective blending.
Whether it is a local person who feels about the city or the foreign people who know
through the TV network, the mass media will affect their right impression of the
city. In the new era of communication, the audience has a new opportunity to define
the image of the city.

INTRODUCTION
The Background and Real Needs of Anhui Internet Image Improvement
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee,
with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, has attached great importance to the development of Anhui.
General Secretary Xi proposed the "adhere to the use of new development concepts to lead
development actions, strengthen reform and innovation, and strive to create a new road." And
the "five solid" specific tasks. General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the
development of the central region. He has visited the central region's six provinces of Shanxi,
Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. On July 22, 2021, the "Opinions of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of China on the High-quality Development of the Central
Era on Promoting High-quality Development in the New Era" clarified the overall requirements,
main tasks, and guarantee measures for promoting the high -quality development of the central

Anhui, one of the important birthdays of Chinese prehistoric civilization, has a profound
cultural heritage. It has cultivated famous historical figures such as Lao Tzu, Zhuangzi, Zhu
Yuanzhang, Li Hongzhang, etc. Due to the flat terrain and fertile soil suitable for farming, the
economy of Anhui has developed well in a traditional agricultural society. Huishang also
became one of the best business gangs in ancient China. In the planned economy era, Xiaogang
Village, Fengyang, and Anhui opened China. The prelude to rural economic reform. Anhui also
has the characteristics of the north and south. It spans the two major water systems of the
Huaihe River and the Yangtze River, and has both north and south cultures. Because of the

connects things in the country's development.
However, for a long time, the stereotype of Anhui "in the underdeveloped provinces in the
central region" has been deeply rooted in the people's hearts. Especially after the State Council

is not high, so the quality of the urban image will also decline. Today, the rapid development of
the Internet is mostly fragmented dissemination. Disseminating fragmented communication
has caused content production to float on the surface, and the mining of the cultural level is
incomplete. Network information is rapidly changing. If you only stay in the superficial symbol
when shaping the city's image, it will only have a short period of popularity, and it is not easy
to impress the audience. Moreover, foreigners do not understand Anhui, have a shallow
understanding of Anhui, and have a strong desire to express and output on the Internet, which
will also affect Anhui's image on the Internet.
THEORETICAL BASIS OF REGIONAL IMAGE RESEARCH
The regional image refers to the overall view and comprehensive evaluation of a region's
internal and external public, including economic, cultural, and social aspects, involving the scale,
level, and quality of development. Ge Zhongqing and others believe that the construction of the
regional image requires people first, focusing on the cultivation of regional spirit, regional
concept, regional culture, and regional values, strengthening the shaping of the soul, forming a
specific cultural environment and cultural advantages, which can affect generation after

With the rapid development of the national economy, the rapid advancement of modernization
and urbanization, and the support of relevant planning, such as the rise of the central region,
Anhui's economy has gradually stepped onto the fast track. However, due to the constraints of
geography, resources, and other factors, Anhui's social and economic development is facing
many problems. The gap between Anhui and the eastern region, especially the neighboring
provinces, is widening. In order to attract foreign investment and obtain development
opportunities, the image construction of the region is particularly important. Understanding
the current image of Anhui in the minds of netizens, finding out the problems of Anhui's image,
and clarifying the image orientation of Anhui is of great importance to the development of
Anhui.
With the globalization of information and the continuous development of communication
technology, the main means for people to understand a region is through mass media, which
has become the shaper of people's first impression of things. It objectively reflects things and
constructs the image of things through themselves. Therefore, although what people see has its
characteristics, its image is closer to the "media image" created by the mass media. Jonah Berger
put forward the six steps to cultivate the communication power of the colonial era in the book
"The Legend of Madness," including social currency, inducement, emotion, openness, practical
value, and story. The control of emotional mobilization and story rendering is one factor that
effectively stimulates the audience to share. Robert Logan, a Canadian communication scholar,
compares users in the Internet era to "mobile communicators." From the perspective of
ordinary people, users use daily life to arouse the resonance between groups and establish links
between individuals to a large extent. The expression of individuals is close to the expression
recognized by the group, and then the individual's perception rises to the group's perception.
Therefore, Internet users play a key role in constructing a regional image. How to attract the
audience's attention and accurately transmit information has become an important issue in
promoting the development of the whole society. In this era, the image issue has attracted much
attention.
Wang Ruihua pointed out in his paper "On the Communication of Urban Media Image in the
Context of New Media" that the success of urban image construction depends on the effect of
urban image communication. Under the new media environment, the means and means of
urban image communication are more abundant and convenient. Urban image communication
should be dominated by the main communication body and form a long-term mechanism. We
should fully explore the characteristics of the city, understand the needs of the audience, and
guide citizens to use the new media platform to do a good job in the dissemination of the city
image; We should establish a socialized communication mechanism, build a city brand, and
create a city image with main image, distinctive personality, and charm.
As an intangible asset, the image has a considerable influence on the development of all parties.
With the continuous development of the economy, the construction of regional image has
become increasingly important in regional development. Regional image has become the
leading factor in the region's political, economic and cultural development. The application of
soft power in attracting investment and talent is also increasing. A good regional image is
increasingly important in economic development and regional external exchanges.
