rural areas. Data analysis using Paired samples t-test. There were differences

BACKGROUND

Mysterious pneumonia cases were first discovered in Wuhan city, Hubei Province of China.

According to reports from China that the transmission of mysterious diseases comes from

markets fish and animals [1]. From 18 to 29 December 2019, five patients were suffering from

mysterious illnesses. Strange symptoms are caused by a respiratory disorder called Acute

Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) [2].

In January 2020 the prevalence of respiratory disorders increased, or spread very quickly from

Hubei Province, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Europe, America, Africa,

Australia, and become a serious problem in the world [3]. Based on the first World Health

Organization research, this mysterious disease is called the novel 2019 coronavirus (2019 -

nCov). One of the official world health institutions gave the correct name for the new disease

with the name coronavirus disease-19, officially announced in February 2020 [2].

Pandemic infectious diseases cause morbidity and death to increase over time globally.

Coronavirus disease-19 (Covid-19) was an infectious disease found in China in Wuhan City and

spread very quickly to Indonesia and Papua Province. Up to December 2020, the prevalence of

covid-19 in Papua Province increased.

The data source for Papua Province Covid-19 Control, Prevention and Handling Task Force (12

June 2020). Peoples in Monitoring 50,1%, Patients in Monitoring 12,1%, patients positive

18,9%, and treated 13,3%, while 5,3% patients recovered and 0,2% deeds. Province Papua of

positive patients increased 19 while those who recovered and died were lower than in March -

June 2020. This causes a very large influence covid-19 on socioeconomic status in the

Regencies/City in Papua Province of Indonesia [4].

Covid-19 has a big influence globally, December 2019. The limits health services to the

community, which is not positive covid-19. However, people who have other diseases do not

get maximum health services in the health service unit. However, people who have other

diseases do not get maximum health services in the health service unit. Such as

doctors/midwives service in low practice, hospitals, and health centers do not provide excellent

health services to the community, besides that integrated health service posts are functioned

every month, weighing toddlers, antenatal care, toddlers and pregnant mothers sick is the

limited treatment to the health service unit [5].

Government policies in the field of the health law are very important to protect the public so

they are not infected with dangerous diseases. Thus the community stays at home, works at

home, does not carry out social activities in general or in groups, does not gather in large

numbers in public places, public places are closed or restricted. This is bad for pregnant

mothers, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers who are sick or not sick. So that those

who visit the health service unit, do not get maximum health services [6].

Large-scale social restrictions on society globally, causing the mother and child morbidity to

increase, even though the mother and toddlers are not sufferers covid-19 [7]. All health services

for the general public were restricted, the government only focuses on health services for covid- 19 patients. The impact of covid-19 caused world-class health services, the government has

compiled programs in all fields to build a better society, stopped by new diseases that emerged

in December 2019 [8].

Health care services for all populations according to age groups and becomes low, an important

part of this research is to prove that health services are stopped for pregnant women,

breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers in the Indonesian Papua Province.

METHOD

Cross-sectional study research design to measure pregnant women not getting maximum

health services during the COVID-19 pandemic March - December 2020[9]. This study compares

the viability of COVID-19 with the imposition of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and

lockdowns which have an impact on the health of pregnant women in Papua Province.

Population and Sample

The study population was that all family mothers living in Papua Province did not get maximum

health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Health Protocol Policy Urban population and

rural population are the obligation to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in Papua

Province.

The research sample was that all pregnant women in Papua Province did not get maximum

health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inclusion criteria for the study sample were

pregnant women from the first to the third trimester, willingness to become respondents,

pregnant women could be contacted by telephone or watshap during the Covid-19 pandemic,

pregnant women were married, pregnant women lived in urban and rural areas, pregnant

women came from Jayapura City and Jayapura City. The sample selection is that the number of

urban pregnant women selected is the same as the number of selected rural pregnant women

(total sampling) namely sample was 90 pregnant mothers living in urban areas and 90 pregnant

living in rural areas.

The research sites are twenty-eight districts and one municipality in Papua province. The

criteria for selecting research sites are Jayapura City and Jayapura Regency, namely Jayapura

City is a seaport and Jayapura Regency is an aircraft airport. These two districts were chosen

because COVID-19 entered Papua Province through transportation by ships and planes.

Secondary Data Sources

This research uses data sources from the Papua Province COVID-19 Response Task Force.

Secondary data is important to describe the morbidity and mortality rates for COVID-19 in

Papua Province.

Primary Data Sources

Primary data of this research are pregnant women living in urban and rural areas who do not

get maximum health services from Posyandu, Puskesmas, Public and Private Hospitals, Doctors
