ABSTRACT

The basic principle of the science of Harmony (science of Ahangyol) is

that - if the universe has existed and functioned on the basis of the

principle of Harmony for billions of years, regardless of its size, the

activity of any being in the universe can be considered appropriate if

this activity serves to increase and multiply harmony around itself

and in the universe. According to the author, more successful results

can be achieved if the modern economic theories and economic

mechanisms are also built on the principle of Harmony. The article

analyzes the basic principles of modern economic theories, that deals

with important issues, should be taken into consideration. One of the

most pressing issues in the modern world, as well as in economic

projects, is the rapid growth of the world's population. It is highlighted

in the article that the challenge of regulating population growth in the

world currently is not being successfully addressed. With the help of

the science of Harmony (science of Ahangyol), a new model, based on

the rules of natural development of society, is proposed to address the

challenge. It is scientifically substantiated that modern economic

theories can be further improved if we take the proposed model into

account and use the science of Harmony (science of Ahangyol), which,

in turn, can contribute to a more harmonious development of our

societies.

INTRODUCTION

The latest developments in relation to the coronavirus in the world have once more proved the

importance of the principle of the science of Harmony (Science of Ahangyol). One of the main

principles of the science of Harmony is that if the universe exists and functions according to the

principles of harmony, any activity that disrupts the harmony will inevitably create problems. For

example, it looks like, an interference in the human body, does not correspond to the principles of

existence and functions of the body. Ultimately, the interference will create problems in the

affected part of the body, and generally in the whole body. Then a question arises how to define the

principles of Harmony. The answer is simple. Every being in the universe has its own specific

mission. If a being acts in accordance with its mission, it will be in a more harmonious state. As

much as the being moves away from its mission, so much it moves away from the state of Harmony.

At the time of interaction of the objects with each other, that moved away from the state of

Harmony, the violation of harmony increases. When there is no human intervention, all beings in

the nature act in accordance with their mission, and their activities directly or indirectly serve to

maintain the harmony . Let's call it natural harmony. When a person creates something with his

cognitive activity which disturbs the harmony, principles of Harmony of the created thing also

get disturbed. In other words, when the created thing acts in accordance with its own mission, it

destroys the natural harmony. According to the theory of the hierarchical effect of harmony, when

harmony is violated in each subsystem in the universe, upper systems take actions to restore the

harmony. If it is not possible to restore the harmony, the subsystem is canceled.

In view of this, it can be said that anything that human beings create in a cognitive way, aimed at

disrupting harmony, not only disrupts harmony on the earth, but also causes conflicts with the

upper systems in the universe. The action taken by upper systems to restore the harmony,

increases conflict and tension on the earth. As the number of people and tools that violate natural

harmony on earth increases, the number of conflicts and tensions in the universe also increases.

Therefore, any human activity on earth must be carried out taking the above mentioned

phenomenon into account. Economic theories and economic mechanisms, built without taking

above mentioned challenges into account, cannot bring long-term success. Unfortunately, as a

result of these mistakes, a tense situation has developed on the earth today. For the correct

building of economic theory and economic mechanisms, first of all the human nature should be

more precisely defined. The economy is a means of ensuring human activity. The economy is not

the main goal of man, but a suplementary means for his survival and activity. The person needs

economy like he needs air, water and food. As the highest goal of a person’s life is not breathing

air, drinking water and eating food, increasing his material wealth cannot also be his supreme goal.

Without a correct and accurate understanding of human nature, it is not possible to build economic

theories and economic mechanisms correctly.

The sience of Harmony (sience of Ahangyol) scientifically substantiates that considering a man as

a "biosocial" and "psychological" being in the scientific literature is one-sided approch. The man

must also be considered as a part of the universe, as the subject that influences the universe. In

the end, it would be more appropriate to look at man as a "cosmo-bio-psycho-socio" being. This

approach may be more successful if it is taken into account in the building of more advanced

economic theories. As the process of globalization accelerates and society becomes more complex,

the essence of man becomes more and more apparent. The need to take the essence of man into

account is even more pronounced. One of the main principals of the science of harmony is that the

main mission of every being in the universe is to increase the harmony in the system in which it

belongs. For example, if we compare the universe with the human body, we will find that the main

mission of each organ in our body is to create harmony in its own subsystem. In this way, it

increases the harmony in the whole body and the body becomes healthier. That is, the finger,

increasing the harmony of the hand system into which it enters, serves the health of the hand

system, which, in turn, serves the health of the whole system - harmony. The main purpose of the

tissues in the finger is to keep the finger healthy and so on.

This example is true for every being in the universe. This is the basic purpose of every planet and

every atom. Otherwise, order and harmony will be disturbed. A person is also a being. His main

mission is to act in such a way that to create harmony in the system - in the family, organization,

society, country, land, etc. This does not mean that a person should not express his position in the

161

system into which he entered. On the contrary, every person in the system should invite those who

violate harmony to protect it. This can lead to a conflict among them. All conflicts are desirable

and useful only when they help to restore and strengthen harmony in the system. The science of

Harmony (science of Ahangyol) scientifically proves that each person can act in accordance with

his mission only if the following three qualities mutually create harmony:

physical health; 2) moral richness and 3) high demand for a creative attitude to work. If we accept

this, then it is clear that every economic action should serve to strengthen these three signs and

create mutual harmony. That is, if any economic transaction, economic project hinders people's

physical health, moral richness, the need for a creative approach to work, it will be wrong to

consider the economic transactions, the project expedient. Many of the people who hear these

may express their objection. They can give many examples about economic successes in the world.

Yes, the economic successes happened, but if we analyze these successes in detail, we will see that

these were pseudo-successes. If at first glance they helped create harmony in some areas, but

generally they caused a violation of harmony in a broad sense. As globalization "transfers the world

into a small village," previous successes become impossible.

In the past, these successes were achieved because the earth has not become a single system.

Changes in subsystems did not have a significant impact on the overall. Now all countries are so

interconnected with economic ties that what happens in one country can affect the whole system

in another countr/ies. What happens in the great powers is causing serious changes around the

world. Someone may think that after the peroid of coronavirus, the process of globalization will be

weakened. At least, it may seem so at first glance. Globalization is also a natural historical process.

It will continue, just only its character will change. So far, there is a great need to change the nature

of subjective interference in the process of globalization. Taking into account the above, we can say

that subjective intervention in the process of globalization can be successful only when it does not

violate the principle of Harmony in accordance with the essence of society.

This is similar to the intervention of a surgeon in the human body. So far, this intervention has been

carried out mainly in the interests of individual centers of power. It is as if different people come

to the same house, pull out stones that they like from the wall and build a bed for themselves. When

pulling out the next stone, all remaining stones may collapse and remain under the ruins of the

wall. Therefore, each center of the power and state is obliged to protect the principles of harmony

during the implementation of its plans.

This demand is becoming more and more urgent in the world, which has turned into a village over

time. That is, we have to think about the danger of taking any step that would disrupt the harmony

of the whole world. Given this, let's focus on current economic theories and economic projects.

Today's economic theories are largely based on the doctrines of Adam Smith and David Ricardo.

All modern economic theories have developed on the basis of these doctrines. The general essence

of today's economic world outlook is that the world's resources are limited and human needs are

unlimited. Ways are being sought to best meet the needs of people.

As the world's population grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to solve this problem. If the

population grows a little more, this solution will be impossible. This is the main reason for the

alarm bells ringing about the world's population growth today. What to do in such a situation? Is it

possible to continue interventions that contradict the rules of the earth and nature? There is no

doubt that such interventions will strike the whole world in the end. It has almost been for

thousands of years that all religious books, prophets, and wise people called us not to violate the

harmony of the earth. The provisions of science of Harmony (science of Ahangyol) also give

grounds to say that there is a need to reconsider the current scientific and economic theories. The

main canons of science and economic theories that exist today are based on the principles of

rationalism and pragmatism. Consideration of irrational but important factors affecting our lives

has faded into the background. To substantiate this view, let us consider the basic principles of the

modern economy in detail.

ARE RESOURCES ON EARTH LİMİTED?

Religious books say that God also provide those whom He created with food. This idea may seem

absurd at first glance. It can also be considered as religious nonsense. But now let's pay attention

to the fact that current economic theories, economic projects do not rationally use the earth's

resources. We will surely witness a very tragic scene. Bring an one-year-old child in front of your

eyes. What will happen if we put a lot of food in a large tray in front of that child and step aside?

After a while, the child will spread all the food on the table, on the carpet, maybe pass by and sit on

the tray. Then he will cry for being hungry. Today's economy has put the people at the position of

one year old chid. Although the resources of the earth is being exploited, sometimes brutally, the

result is embarrassing for humanity. There are many people on earth who are starving and

malnourished. But there could be a completely different picture. If people developed fields of

science that would allow them to make better use of the earth's resources, a completely different

picture would emerge.

For example, if we could use wind energy, hydropower, underground energy, nanotechnology, and

found energy sources that we do not know yet, completely different economic opportunities would

be created for us. That is, instead of increasing economic resources by waging wars and pursuing

various policies, if we could involve irrational factors in scientific research, the earth's resources

at men's disposal could be many times greater than they are today. Let's move on to the question

of the unlimited needs of man, accepted in modern economic theories. After all, why should human

needs be unlimited? Again, if we pay attention to all the religious books, if we take into account the

Eastern philosophy, especially the medieval Islamic philosophy, if we deeply think about it again,

we can see that man's needs cannot be unlimited! Why? First of all, if we recall the idea that the

main mission of every being, particulalrly the human being on of the earth, is to create harmony

in the system in which it belongs, then we can come to the conclusion that the main mission of the

men is not to satisfy his own needs. This need should be meet as a such extend that the person can

create more harmony with his activities. That is, if people are evaluated by the extent to which they

can create a progressive harmony around their activities, everything will be fine. Then a billionaire

can first get his billion through his own harmonious activity, which will help to significantly

increase harmony in all other spheres as well.

The billionaire will then spend his money to create more harmony for humanity. People will not

be proud of the number of their villas, cars and planes, but of their deeds which will contribute to

the development of the harmonious relations in the life. Modern economic theories also lack of

enlightenment. Whereas there are many examples of the generation of such theories in the works

of Islamic scholars of the Middle Ages. An example is the work of N. Tusi “Akhlagi-Nasiri” (Moral

Nasiri). This book can make a significant contribution to the development of many fields of science,

including economics, sociology, pedagogy, social management, etc. The book deals with many

useful methods for cultivating of nafs (???) and needs. Thus, if we want to create an economic

theory that is normal, useful and adequate to human nature, then we should also create serious

doctrines for cultivating the needs, which will help to build more harmonious relationships in the

world.

Let's pay attention to these two issues. If we thought that these two problems were true: (i) the

resources in the world are limited and (ii) the needs of people are unlimited, on which the modern

economy is based, then all the wars and violence in the world would be justified. If there is a limited

amount of bread in the city, people will fight for meeting the bread needs of their families.

Acceptance of these principles as reality, serves to violate harmony and increase tension on the

earth. It is logical that these principles are deceptive and are not natural. And now, let’s move on to

the issue of the population growth in the world, wich has been disturbing futurologists,

demographists, politicians, economists, sociologists and others since the 1970s. Calculations and

scientific analysis have indicated that the world's population is expected to increase significantly

in the next 50-70 years. It is also clear that the least developed countries will be the main

contributors to population growth in the world. This situation posed new challenges for politicians,

demographers, sociologists and, above all, economists. The existing science of modern economic is

not ready to find a successful way out from this problem. International organizations, primarily the

United Nations, have taken the process under its control.

Indeed, there is an urgent need to prevent the rapid population growth. UN preferred the method

of awareness-raising to decrease the rate of population grows in the world. In relation to it, a

number of other methods can also be used. But the world population growth rate is still alarming.

We face a difficult situation in this regard. An analysis of the provisions of the science of Harmony

(science of Ahangyol) suggests that the measures taken to prevent population growth over the

past 50 years have not been very successful. These measures have been selected in a novice

manner, the principles of harmonious development have not been defined and applied. In fact, in

order to reduce the population growth rate, methods that had already been naturally approbated

by the earth should be used. As indicated in the above example, when the surgeon intervenes in

any organ, a successful result can only be achieved if it acts in accordance with the rules of the body

system. The world itself has naturally proved that the population growth rate in each country and

region decreases when literacy and cultural levels of the people increase, and everyone does not

only live for his children, as in the least developed countries, but also prefers to live for him/her- self. That is, when the literacy and cultural levels of the population increase, the problem of

population growth also becomes self-regulating.

If the money spent on weapons were spent on increasing the level of education, literacy and culture

of the population around the world, and in parallel raising awareness and practicing international

legal control, at that time the rate of population growth would be much lower than it is now.

International legal control may mean, for example, that each country assumes an international

obligation to regulate its own population growth and to take control over the fulfillment of the

obligation. One may think about other options as well.

Clearly, the population of developed countries would help to significantly benifit from the natural

resources of their regions. The great achievements of science through the employment of advanced

technologies and natural resources would allow the earth's resources to be many times greater

than they are today. The population of the whole world, as in many European countries, will

gradually decrease in a natural manner, and natural resources will increase through the application

of modern science and advanced technologies. Science and culture will significantly flourish on the

earth. Everyone will understand that if preference is given to moral values that contribute to

harmonious development, the social system will harmoniously regulate itself. Globalization would

yield very useful results. Armament and the use of force would be criticized internationally as a

sign of backwardness, rather than an advantage, and would be more successfully prevented. A

completely new moral relationship and policy would be formed. Unfortunately, this did not happen

and the world is in a terrible situation.

But all the chances have not yet been lost. If the center of powers, the highest authorities, serious

scientific centers decide to explore the natural, harmonious ways of the earth’s development, very

positive changes will occur in the coming decades. The science of Harmony (science of ahangyol)

can be very useful in this regard.
